Coweta County Water & Sewerage Authority Selects BCR’s Bio-Scru®

COWETA COUNTY WATER & SEWERAGE AUTHORITY (CCWSA) SELECTS BCR’S BIO-SCRU® PROCESS TECHNOLOGY

BCR’s Custom Design Pelletizer Solution to Provide Output Product in a Better Way for CCWSA

(JACKSONVILLE May 23, 2023) BCR Environmental, a leading provider of proven biosolids and process treatment technology solutions, and Templeton & Associates Engineering Sales, Inc. BCR’s local Manufacturer Representative, announced that the CCWSA, a public governmental entity tasked with the provision of drinking water and sanitary sewer services to Coweta County, has selected BCR to provide the Bio-Scru® biosolids drying technology system. The decision followed evaluations of several competing technologies that include criteria such as a fifteen-year net present worth analysis including capital costs, estimated annual operation and maintenance costs, power consumption, chemical usage and other factors.
“CCWSA had several goals for the project, which involved selecting process technology to produce Class A biosolids as part of an overall WWTF expansion,” said Jarred Jackson, Senior Associate from Krebs Engineering who managed the system design, RFP and selection process. One of CCWSA’s primary goals with this project is to reduce the total volume of biosolids, expand biosolids disposal options, and ultimately reduce the hauling and tipping fees associated with disposal of Class B biosolids in a landfill. The BCR team has been responsive and knowledgeable throughout the process.”

Joshua Scott, President and CEO of BCR Environmental explained “We help our customers solve their technology challenges in a better way and, for CCWSA, we were able to create a solution for their preferred biosolids product output by including a pelletizer in our proposal bid. Our team was able to bring the Bio-Scru® demo unit to CCWSA’s site and allow them to see the Bio-Scru® process their facility’s actual material.” The expansion project for the Shenandoah WWTF facility, which currently has capacity of two million gallons per day (MGD), will triple treatment capacity to six MGD once the expansion of the activated sludge facility is completed including the new biosolids drying facility.
